A fragment of the lower left corner is missing from the frame, slightly brown paper, creasing in the upper part, a few stains, there is a slight crease to the left edges.

Abba Pfefferman, Jewish artist (1883 Kreslawka/Russia, today Belarus until 1963 Jerusalem/Israel), worked as a sign painter in Poland and Russia, studied at the academy of arts in Odessa, from 1903 resident in Paris and studied at the Académie Julian under William Adolphe Bouguereau, 1912 met the founder and director of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, who invited him to Jerusalem to work there, 1913 moved to Palestine, here head of the painting department at the Bezalel Academy.
