Maroquin rouge de l'époque, double filet et fleurons d'angle dorés sur les plats (lég. éraflés), dos à 5 nerfs guillochés et caissons fleuronnés dorés, coiffes et coupes ornées dorées, tr. marbrées. 2e édition (orig. 1766) de cette analyse antireligieuse des évangiles apocryphes, mentionnée sur le titre comme l'oeuvre de Nicolas Fréret (1738-1810), attribuée par certains à d'Holbach (1723-1789) mais aussi à Jean Levesque de Burigny (1692-1785). Avec des notes par Jacques-André Naigeon (1738-1810). Si Tchemerzine et Cioranescu affirment la responsabilité de d'Holbach, la BNF ne tranche pas et Vercruysse est d'avis qu'en aucun cas "cet écrit ne saurait être attribué au baron".
