Between the time the United States entered World War II and 1943, when the WPA was terminated, many of the WPA artists turned their hands towards propaganda, producting some "vivid and effective" images (WPA p. 143). An impressive, but little known, series of images emerged from the 13th Naval District was in Seattle. Each of the images in this series is numbered (here it is 33), indicating that many more of these were produced than seem to have survived. Previously unrecorded. Not in the Library of Congress.
