James and Hanna Bartlett Prints and Drawings Gallery through March 24, 2019. Pope's installation of letterpress posters called "The Bad Air Smelled of Roses" explores the concept of Phenomenology as seen in the writings of Martin Heidigger, a German philosopher of the early 20th century. Pope uses the medium of letterpress posters because they represent a presumptuous idea--they seem "official".
