Regency Auction HouseOriginal Oil Painting: “The Chairman of the Board”, by Artist Daryl Poulin (1947-); 24" x 48". A prolific cowboy, Indian and western artist. Poulin, once stated, ”I never painted a painting without putting a horse in it” did just that in this striking true scene of the west in this painting “The Chairman of the Board”. Daryl was raised in Maine, now lives in Wyoming, and paints the subjects of his passion. He attended the Art Institute Chicago for two years and gained his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Portland Maine School of Art. Afterwards he spent the next 20 years in commercial art in Wisconsin and South Dakota. He turned to art as a professional soon afterwards, and sold his first painting to actress Melanie Griffith in 1993. Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede commissioned his work on their commemorative print, while the state of Wyoming hired Daryl to paint the covers of two State Maps. His work is renowned, has been featured in numerous publications, and featured in several galleries, and enjoyed and owned across the Country. And exceptional painting, by and exceptional artist.
