Biography

Born in 1896, Artist Aiden Lassell Ripley was a prominent American artist renowned for his hunting and fishing paintings. Having had an interest in drawing from an early age, painter Aiden Lassell Ripley went on to study at the Fenway School of Illustration before serving in World War 1 as a musician. Ripley's first exhibition of his paintings took place at the Guild of Boston Artists in his hometown, and he eventually became one Boston's most distinguished artists.

With his focus on capturing outdoor watercolor landscapes, artist Aiden Lassell Ripley played with the warmth and coolness of his palette to create beautiful action scenes.
