Born in 1932, Artist E. John Robinson grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon, before moving to study at the California College of Arts and Crafts. After obtaining his master's degree from San Francisco State College, painter E. John Robinson taught for 12 years before committing to his art full-time. His prolific art career has spawned 30 solo exhibitions, and the painting of over 4,000 seascapes. During the height of his popularity, he was commissioned to create four covers for Reader's Digest magazine. Artist E. John Robinson also wrote several art instruction books that are still in circulation.

(Oregon / California 1922-2008) Splendid oil on canvas entitled 'Afternoon Glitter' depicting crashing waves on rocks along the N. California coast. Signed 'E. John Robinson' LR. Also signed & titled by artist to stretcher to verso along with former gallery label. SIZE: 18 x 24" overall 27 x33". Housed in brown wood frame with fabric liner. CONDITION: Very good overall. No visible touch ups or restorations. Not examined out of frame. BIO. Robinson taught art for 12 year in public school system before becoming a full time painter and was renowned for his seascapes.
