The lead work relates to Rogers's painting 'Mother and Child, 1961' now in Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. Jenny Trevelyan had a long and full ballet career. From 1950-53 she performed with The Royal Ballet, Continental Ballet and Covent Garden Opera Ballet, and as a soloist from 1954-60. She went on to set up the Jenny Trevelyan School of Dancing in London and other dance troupes within the community, where her creativity and inspiring sprit shone.

Rogers (English/American, 1933-2018) Late 20th century oil painting on panel, depicting an angel bearing offerings to sleeping figures and horse. Signed lower left PWR '93. Born in london, Rogers studied at st martin's school of art, 1954–6. His work was devoted to religious and spiritual painting and his art drew on buddhist, classical as well as christian sources. In 1957 he was elected a member of the royal society of british artists, and starting in 1960, Arthur Tooth & Sons became his exclusive dealer in london. In 1962 he moved to spain and while there, met Carol Hurd, daughter of the painters, Peter Hurd and Henriette Wyeth Hurd. Moving to the united states in 1963, he and Carol were married and lived in patricio, as well as santa fe, new mexico.

Peter W. Rogers (British/American, b. 1933), "Evening along the Coast, " oil on masonite, signed lower right, measures 9 x 12 inches unframed overall in the frame it measures 12.50 x 15.50 inches. CONDITION: Good. Peter Rogers was born in London on August 24, 1933, and was educated at Sherborne. After doing his National Service (basic training in the Welsh Guards, 2nd lieutenant in the Queen's Royal Regiment) he studied at St. Martin's School of Art in London. In 1957 he was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, and in 1960 Arthur Tooth and Sons became his exclusive dealer in London. He moved to the United States in 1963 and resides at San Patricio, New Mexico.
