    Limited Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Contains both Rogers' play about Chief Pontiac's rebellion against the British stationed at Fort Detroit in 1763 and a biography written by Allan Nevins. Limited edition, one of 175 copies.

    Journals of ... Containing an Account of the several Excursions he made under the Generals who commanded upon the Continent of North America, during the late War. London: Printed for the Author, and sold by J. Millan, 1765 8vo (8 1/8 x 5 in.; 205 x 130 mm). Lacking half-title and one leaf of advertisements or blank at the end, stain along bottom margin of Dd2v–Dd3r. Later half calf over marbled boards, plain endpapers, the spine in six compartments gilt (one reserved for lettering piece), edges stained red; upper hinge starting.

[London:] Published as the Act directs by Thomas Hart, 1 October 1776 Mezzotint portrait engraving (14 1/8 x 9 1/4 in.; 358 x 235 mm), by Johann Martin Will; sheet creased and so printed central lower left, trimmed within platemark. Matted, framed, and glazed. NOTE Best known as the commander of the celebrated Rogers' Rangers during the French and Indian War, Robert Rogers recruited one of the most successful Loyalist corps, the Queen's Rangers, in New York and Connecticut in 1776.
