The gallery exhibited works of art, including pieces from the avant-garde period, as well as mirrors, glass works, and decorative objects. Archival documentation confirms that this artwork was received from Mykolas Žilinskas on April 22, 1954. By descent within the family. In 1967, the Katzenberg family immigrated to Israel, bringing with them the full contents of the gallery, including artworks, Judaica, furniture, and decorative objects. Inherited by the grandson, Abraham Katzenberg (Petah Tikva, Israel). The inheritance includes the gallery archive, documentation, books, and artworks.     Black & white linocut entitled 'Destruction of the City' from the illustrated book Voyna (War) by Russian avant-garde artist Olga Rozanova. Made in an Italian Futurist style, Rozanova used projecting lines and curves to convey the noise and imminent destruction of military weapons aimed at buildings. Rosanova collaborated with Aleksei Kruchenykh who wrote poems for the portfolio book comprised of fourteen linoleum cuts and published in an edition of 100. Includes the MoMA's exhibition brochure 'The Avant-Garde in Russia 1915-1930' held in New York City in 1990. On verso in pencil: O. Rozanova, War in Cyrillic. No.3], illustrations, pages toned, original wrappers, staples lightly rusted, edges a little discoloured and tender, spine ends a little frayed, 4to, St Petersburg, Souiz Molodezhi, 1913. ⁂ Founded in 1909 by St. Petersburg artists Mikhail Matiushin and Elena Guro, the 'Soiuz Molodezhi' [Union of Youth] was the first officially registered association of the avant-garde artists. The union from St Petersburg was created six months before 'The Jack of Diamonds' was established in Moscow. From 1910 to 1914 the association organised seven exhibitions presenting a wide range of artistic ideas and styles from Symbolism to Cubo-Futurism. It had a profound impact on the careers of many artists including Chagall, Tatlin, Filonov, Altman, Malevich, Larionov, to name but a few.

Olga Rozanova is known for Illustrator, painter, abstract. Olga Rozanova was born in 1886 in Malenki, Vladimir province in Russia. She trained at the Bolshakov Art School and the Stroganov School of Applied Art in Moscow. In 1911 she moved to St. Petersburg where she became an active member of the Union of Youth Group, exhibiting with them regularly from 1911 to 1914. She also attended the Zvantseva School of Art from 1912 to 1913. One of a kind artwork.
