Sandra Jones Petyarr Art for Sale and Sold Prices

b. 1974 -

Daughter of Utopia artist Gypsy Jones, Sandra grew up with a traditional aboriginal life at Utopia where she also attended Soapy Bore School, learning English. Later she briefly attended Yirara College in Alice Springs with other teenagers of her area. Sandra continues to live with her husband and children at Utopia.

Sandra began painting in the early 2000’s and paints alongside her sisters Jilly Jones and Rhonda Jones, her mother and extended family. They live in a vibrant community that nurtures many enthusiastic and talented artists. Many of Sandra’s paintings bear fine brush work designs that represent Tharrkarr, the flower of a Honey Grevillea plant that grows in her country.
