Most famously known for his landscapes and portraits, Bristish artist Edward Brian Seago had little formal education. Suffering a childhood illness, he started painting while confined to bed. At 18, Seago traveled abroad with a circus troupe, eventually producing three books with illustrations of circus life and paintings of his journeys.
Painter Edward Brian Seago was heavily influenced by Alfred Munnings and Laura Knight, his work demonstrating simple composition in the style of traditional English landscape painting. His later work became more focused on atmosphere, and many Edward Brian Seago landscapes for sale offer an impressionistic sense of the scenes he painted, overshadowing the detail. Because of an association with the Royal Family, artist Edward Brian Seago was made official artist of the Coronation of Elizabeth ll.
