Jack Terry uses the cattle drives, trail rides, and landscapes of Texas as inspiration to create beautiful oil paintings. Romanticized images of the Old West frontier, cowboys on horses, quaint towns, and covered wagons crossing the plains are all part of Jack Terry's fine art portfolio. Some of Jack Terry's paintings have been converted into giclee prints on canvas, making them affordable for all art enthusiasts.
Many of Jack Terry's fine art portraits and landscapes were hung in the Cotton-Terry Gallery in Austin, which he opened in 1976. By 26, he was named Bicentennial Artist of Texas. He was commissioned to paint Lyndon B. Johnson’s portrait soon after, which also increased the value of Jack Terry's paintings.
