        Thornton (Alfred) Don Juan [&] Don Juan...containing his Life in London, together 2 vol., first editions, 31 hand-coloured aquatint plates by Atkinson, one folding, plate 10 in vol.1 stained, some light offsetting, trimmed, later crushed red morocco, gilt, spines titled and ruled in gilt, g.e., preserved in modern green baize slip-case (a couple of small holes to baize), [Abbey, Life, 323; Bobins 728; Tooley 486], 8vo, 1821-22. ⁂ "The first volume consists of a mixture of Byron's Don Juan and the opera Don Giovanni. The second volume was inspired by Egan's Life in London, some of the same incidents being depicted in the plates, for example plate 15, Vol.2". (Tooley)
