            George Tinworth (1843-1913), for Doulton Lambeth, a superb rare set of rectangular plaques The four Seasons - Winter, Summer, Seed Time and Harvest Time, each modelled with cupid surrounded by various seasons floral and animals including dogs, rats, squirrels, rabbits and birds, each signed in full and monogramed to reverse c1880, h.21 x w9.75cm in later wooden frames. Inscription to top of each plaque, Summer Time-HE WHO GATHERETH in SUMMER IS A WISE SON, Seed Time-IN THE MORNING SOW THY SEED, Winter Time-AND COLD AND HEAT AND SUMMER AND WINTER AND DAY AND NIGHT SHOULD NOT CEASE, Harvest Time-THEY JOY BEFORE BEFORE THEE ACCORDING TO THE JOY IN HARVEST. Harvest time has a firing crack to one of cupid's legs, Winter time has a small chip to end of flowers in basket & axe head in her hand, Summer Time has a minute chip to front, minor firing cracks to reverse of Seed, Summer and Harvest Time.
