  • Jacques Villon - Renée au canapé, 1907
    Apr. 05, 2025

Jacques Villon - Renée au canapé, 1907

    Est: €1,500 - €2,250

  • Jacques Villon, Maggie Berck

    Est: $3,000 - $4,000

Jacques Villon Maggie Berck 1904 45.75 h x 35.5 w in (116 x 90 cm) Best known as an illustrator, printmaker, and then leading Cubist painter and exponent, Jacques Villon created only about six posters. Maggie Berck was an English dancer, but little else is known of her. Yet the more one looks at Maggie, with her strange violet hair—possibly instructing a new generation of ballerinas in the use of castanets—the more one is drawn to her. She begins by intriguing us and ends up fascinating us. Rare! Literature: PAI-V, 300 This work will ship from Lambertville, New Jersey.
