Wiley (American, 1937-2021), Stagger Equal, 1971, mixed media chamois skin, cloth, and felt-tip pen, an experimental abstract Funk art hanging construction incorporating stitched sections and a photographic transfer image. The composition features handwritten notes and diagrammatic markings across the surface. he piece is further constructed with attached found elements, including a small glass vial with cork stopper and additional components, reinforcing the artists assemblage practice. Accompanied by the 1972 Alan Frumkin Gallery invoice identifying the work and confirming early provenance. Measuring approximately 31 x 22 inches. Condition: Good overall vintage condition with intentional distress consistent with the artists process. Visible staining, toning, patina, discoloration, fraying edges, and material wear are present throughout.
