The painting is mounted in a broad, golden wooden frame. Painting and frame are in good condition with traces of age and wear. Auctionata Paddle8 AGJunge Römerin beim Füttern der Tauben. Öl auf Leinwand. 60 x 36 cm. Rechts oben signiert "C. Wünnenberg". Der Sohn des Landschaftsmalers Walther Wünnenberg war zunächst Schüler der Akademie in Düsseldorf unter Wilhelm Sohn, Ernst Dreger und Eduard Gebhardt, bevor er 1876 für einige Jahre nach Rom ging. 1878 gewann er die große Goldmedallie in London und erlangte so internationale Anerkennung. Ab 1882 war er Professor an der Kunstakademie in Kassel, lebte jedoch auch zeitweise wieder in Rom.
