          Hiroshi Yamano (Japanese, b.1956)  "From East to West: Scene of Japan," 2014, blown, sculpted and cast glass with painting, drawing and copper electroplate, from the series of the same name.  The rectangular cast glass panel depicting a misty mountain river landscape with swimming fish, with a cast copper cherry tree branch with a blown glass bird and two blossoms. Light scratches to rim some scuffs to body. Light losses of brown ground where the decoration meet undecorated glass. No heavy scratches, chips or repairs.

Other Notes: Hiroshi Yamano attended the California College of Arts and Crafts, the Tokyo Glass Art Institute, and the Penland School of Crafts (where he served as an assistant), before receiving his MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY, in 1989. He has instructed and lectured throughout the world, including at both the Tokyo Glass Art Institute and the Pilchuck Glass School, and has served as guest artist at the Waterford Crystal Company in Ireland in 1998.
