Bill Zivic was born in Ironwoood, Michigan in 1930. The son of an iron worker, Zivic spent part of his early life in the mile deep mines of his native state. In his lifetime he has been an artist, soldier, merchant seaman, iron miner, and lawman. His travels have taken him around the world. In 1960 he brought his family to the West. It was then he began creating Southwest images in oils, acrylics, and in bronze.Zivic is primarily a self taught artist. Today he creates images of the early West. He also creates Southwest landscapes. Zivic's award-winning work hangs in collections around the world. There are works in collections in every state in the union, and in many foreign countries.He paints, creates bronzes images, and creates prints of his works. Semi retired, he and his wife Carol continued to produce works, and sell out of their studio in the Old Adobe area of Tucson, Arizona. Fully retired, they moved to Casa Grande, Arizona.
