Julian entered the world of auctions in 1995. He is highly qualified having obtained his Masters Degree of Philosophy in Decorative Arts and Furniture from Glasgow University.

Additional Academic Achievements include:

-Certificate of Decorative Arts from Australian Academy of Decorative Arts Sydney.
-English Silver and Hallmarks course – Brian Eggelton Sydney.
-Australian Art Certificate – Christies Australia Sydney.
-Bachelor of Applied Science in Cultural Heritage Management.

Between 2004 and 2006 Julian was the Head of Decorative Arts, Fine Arts and Furniture at Cromwells Auctioneers and Valuers. Julian held the role of Gallery and Exhibitions Manager for Dalia Stanley and has worked extensively at the leading organisations Michael Nagy, Flash Art Magazine, National Gallery of Australia and the Australian War Memorial.

Julian is the official trusted Valuers for the Australian National Maritime Museum.
