Situated in Chesapeake City, Maryland, they conduct three to four auctions annually, each spanning two days, and have partnered with Invaluable.com for nearly sixty auctions, to date.


Alexander Historical Auctions is noted for its sale of high-dollar, high-profile pieces. Frank Sinatra's performance bar stool was auctioned for $5,500; Bonnie and Clyde's bullet-ridden hats sold for $42,000; and a signed picture of President Abraham Lincoln was purchased for $103,500. Additionally, the gold Rolex wristwatch gifted to President John F. Kennedy by Marilyn Monroe -- inscribed with the message, "JACK, With love as always, from MARILYN May 29, 1962" -- sold for $130,000; a letter written by Albert Einstein to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, pressing the development of the atomic bomb, was sold for $278,196; and the desk set used by Adolph Hitler for the signing of the 1938 Munich Pact was auctioned for $432,200.
