About Apple Tree Auction Center

Biography

Established in 1983, the family-run Apple Tree Auction Center has exhibited great integrity and professionalism in their auctioneering endeavors. Their reputation for fine consignment has garnered worldwide exposure through live telephone and online auctions. Apple Tree typically conducts large auctions every 6 weeks and will auction about 5,000 or more antiques. Separate sessions for online bidding are also offered periodically.

Since its founding, Apple Tree Auction Center has hosted numerous auctions on behalf of the community and has sold more than 200,000 items. President and founder Sam Schnaidt and his wife traveled the country to find antiques and collectables for auction, sharing their love of auctioning with the rest of the world. The Apple Tree Auction Center was built to house the auction items and eventually expanded from 5,000 sq feet to more than 30,000 sq feet.

Services & Staff

The Apple Tree Auction Center was previously owned by Sam Schnaidt (founder and president) and his son, David Schnaidt. In 2013, David Schnaidt passed away at the age of 42, having contributed greatly to the marketing success of the auction house during his years working with the family business. The auctioneers include two doll specialists and a gemologist who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the company. More than 20 full- and part-time employees staff the facility as well.

Apple Tree Auction Center specializes in auctioning antiques and collectibles in a number of categories. On-site and online auctions both include a variety of furniture pieces, antique dolls, trains, and other toys, and jewelry. Perhaps one of the most unique categories offered through Apple Tree for auction is antique automobiles. This fully restored 1929 Packard Custom 8 sold for $125,000. Other unique auction items include Persian rugs, wax figurines, and Heisey Glass.
