Company Profile

Bentleys Fine Art Auctioneers was founded in January 1995, as Cranbrook Auction Rooms, and was the brainchild of the current Managing Director and another (now retired) Director. Since 1995 the company has gone from strength to strength and now attracts a wide range of high quality fine art, antique furniture, fine quality porcelain, chattels, silver and jewellery for its monthly Auctions. A number of Specialist Auctions have also been held over the years including sales of Classic Motorcycles, Fine Wines, Horology and American Indian Art.

The Board of Directors includes a Managing Director plus two further Directors, a Company Secretary and a number of other clerical and portering staff. The Directors all have an extensive knowledge of antiques and fine art and are pleased to offer their advice on selling your antiques at auction.

The sales are held on the first Saturday of every month (see calendar for next available date) at our premises with the viewing days on the Thursday and Friday before the sale from 9.30am to 6.30pm. Bentleys Fine Art Auctioneers now has two Sale Rooms. Sale Room 1 auctions Fine Art and Antique Furniture with Sale Room 2 auctioning fine porcelain, silver, jewellery etc.

If you have a particular Antique or Collectable Object which is proving difficult to find then let us see if we can help. Using our extensive lists of Dealers, Private Owners and other Auctioneers we can help source Objects both Nationally and Internationally.

Written Valuations
We are able to provide written Valuations for Insurance or Probate purposes on all types of Antiques & Collectables.

Restoration

We can provide restoration of all types of Antiques whether it's Furniture, Paintings or Ceramics. Only top quality professionals are used in our restoration projects.

Advertising Your Antiques
We can provide advertising for the sale of your Antiques through both local, national and international media.

Transportation

We provide a comprehensive and safe journey to all destinations in the UK. For overseas buyers we can provide shipping to all Worldwide destinations. The cost of the collection of goods for sale within the Wealden catchment area is included in our commission charges.

Expertise and Premises

Our directors have over 50 years experience in the Antiques trade locally and they would be pleased to assist and advise you in the purchase or sale of Antiques & Fine Art. Once entered for sale your Objects will be displayed at our permanent premises in Cranbrook prior to their sale. Our Salerooms act as a showcase for your Objects.

We also provide our sale catalogues to invaluable.com so they can be viewed on the Internet. We also advertise our Auction sales extensively in local and Trade publications as well as mailing our client list (only a few Objects can be shown on these advertisements).
