Brookfield Auction conducts auctions approximately every other month which include estate-fresh antiques and accessories, original art, quality previously-owned pieces, ‘smalls’, collections and much more. We the owners, Andy and Diana Onyshkewych, enjoy working with the public and the dealers, alike. We have built a reputation of providing personal, reliable and professional service to both our buyers and sellers. Buyers and sellers equally benefit from the 30 years combined experience that we bring to the antiques and auction business.
We believe that the process of buying antiques and fine art at auction should be financially sound for all concerned; we also want the experience to be fair and fun for sellers and buyers alike! Working with homeowners, estate executors, estate attorneys, financial planners, real estate agents & brokers and personal property appraisers, we strive to achieve the maximum financial return within the minimum time frame, all with understanding, fairness and professionalism.

Whether you’re looking to sell some antiques, liquidate the estate of a loved one, downsizing, redecorating or whatever, you have options in how to accomplish that goal. You must research and consider those options and decide which venue best meets your needs. There may be ‘upsides’ and ‘downsides’ to any of the choices available to you for selling your property.
Our auctions provide potential buyers with an online catalog complete with descriptions and extensive photographs of each items offered for sale. The online catalog is linked from top antique advertising platforms nationwide. Selling through auction provides sellers with a competitive environment in which to sell their property. Sellers do not need to wonder if an offer they accepted was too low; instead, competitive bidding through auction can lead to a much higher selling price than expected. At your home, dealers will only offer what they want to pay. At auction, dealers will pay what they have to pay to purchase the item.
Brookfield Auction offers full service property and estate liquidation. We can consign or purchase single items, or liquidate an entire estate, leaving the premises ‘broom clean’. As part of a contract to buy antiques from you or sell them for you we can provide additional services to meet all your needs. We can donate household items for you…in your name…so that you can receive a tax deduction on those items. We have the capacity and experience to conduct an on-site auction, when appropriate or to run an estate sale for you. Perhaps the best thing on lesser items and household goods is to load up a box truck and ‘blow it out’ at a flea market (you’d be amazed how much money that can add up to). It will all be gone at the end of the day, unlike tag sales.

Modern, bronzes, sculpture, pottery & porcelain, crystal, collections, rugs & textiles, silver, precious & costume jewelry, clocks, quality previously-owned furniture & decorative items, and select collectibles.
Our auctions are fully computerized, offering the same exposure, service, efficiency and thoroughness as the ‘big’ auction houses. The difference is we offer prompt and personal attention to every inquiry.
Areas We Serve
Brookfield Auction serves all of Connecticut including Fairfield and Litchfield Counties. We are regularly viewing items in New York including Westchester County and Manhattan; and happily travel to other states including New Jersey and Massachusetts to view estates.
Andrij Onyshkewych
Andy grew up with art and in museums.
He is the son of Ukrainian painter, Zenowij Onyshkewych. He has developed a passion for period furniture, American Art Pottery and sterling. Andy is knowledgeable, straight forward and easy to work with!
Diana Onyshkewych
Diana was shopping at thrift stores and tag sales at age five.
She is an experienced auctioneer, having ‘called’ over 100 auctions in CT and NY. She has extensive knowledge of antique furniture, porcelain & crystal, Decorative Arts, Mid 20th C. Modern and lighting. Diana is an experienced, qualified business manager and estate liquidator. She’s energetic, detail oriented and takes pride in her work!
