Biography

Scofield Auctions, Inc. has been conducting auctions and appraisals since 1981. Personal property, antiques, collectibles and on-location estate auctions are specialty areas for the firm.

Centennial Auctions, specializing in the sale of collectible coins, currency, exonumia and stamps, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scofield Auctions, Inc. Centennial sells more coins and stamps at auction in New England than any other firm and has been doing so since 1995.

There are two full time, licensed auctioneers, several contract auctioneers and an auction support staff of over 20 people. Stephen H. Schofield, our principal auctioneer, has been inducted into the National Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame. He is a past president of the Auction Marketing Institute, former treasurer of the National Auctioneers Association and is licensed throughout New England an in California.
