About us

Christopher and Stephanie Farthing are the co –directors of Farthings Auctioneers Limited and have over 20 combined years experience of buying and selling antiques and ephemera both on a private basis as well as at large antique trade fairs such as Ardingly and Shepton Mallet.

Their personal collections have always been eclectic and their passions include Georgian and Edwardian furniture as well as glassware and ceramics. Chris also has a keen interest in science fiction ephemera.

In the pursuit of sourcing goods, Christopher and Stephanie have attended a multitude of auctions across the UK. Their quest is to consolidate all the best practices they observed into Farthings Auctioneers to ensure high quality service for their customers and to treat their goods with respect and care.

Not only will Farthings Auctioneers sell individual lots on your behalf but they will also be able to provide a quotation for conducting house clearance. Please see our Terms and Conditions for further details.

Farthings Auctioneers are in the process of submitting a planning application for a permanent premises on the outskirts of Farnham but until permission is granted they will be conducting their auctions at the Farnham Ramada Hotel on a monthly basis. Once at the new premises, they plan to have the facility for customers to follow the auction and bid on line via the internet.

Christopher has recently achieved the Technical Award in Chattels Auctioneering.
