Francois EPIN Auction

Invaluable Seller since 2024

A French auctioneer, François Epin was in charge of developing the Decorative Arts and Design department at Pierre Bergé & Associés in Paris and Brussels between 2006 and 2011, in a market that was in the process of being structured. He opened up new avenues by presenting designers just out of school, while helping Scandinavian design gain international recognition.
He then developed design auctions at PIASA, notably leading the sale of ceramics from the Raf Simons collection in 2013, and worked in new territories such as American and Brazilian design until 2017, when he launched his own consulting company.
He collaborates with 18 Davies street gallery in London, Li Edelkoort in Paris, Unique Design in Shanghai, auction houses and private collections.
After joining Cornette de Saint-Cyr as head of the design department in 2020, he co-founded Guru, a fair dedicated to crafts and contemporary design in 2021. Since 2022, he has been a consultant for Bonhams and Mirabaud-Mercier.

His activities are a mixture of research and advice. By constantly analyzing the global market, he also encourages young designers to break into major collections.
