Gene and Donna Harris owners of Gene Harris Antique Auction Center, Inc. of Marshalltown, Iowa are taking advantage of their opportunity to pass on their much beloved business to the next generation. As a business, and a family, much has been endured and accomplished over the last 50 years of their noteworthy existence. Specialty auctions featuring one category or collection of vintage clocks, radios, toys, glass & china have become their niche and draw interest world wide on a semi-annual basis, making their center a mecca or miniature convention with all who attend. "After selling an average of 400 clocks every six months for the past 30 plus years, the return attendees have become "family", too.", says Stern. With incoming collections from Denver to Milwaukee, the Auction Center will be highlighting categories. Stationary steam engines, radios, clocks, lamps, scales, battery operated toys, as well as Empire and Victorian furnishings from fine homes will be featured.
