Hammersite Ltd., or by its previous name, Ben Ami Auctioneers is the oldest extant art auction house in Israel.


Ben Ami Auctioneers was established in 1984, by Michael Ben Ami, previously the spokesman of the Bank of Israel. The company changed its name to Hammersite Ltd. in 2000, and was the first Israeli auction house to sell directly via the internet. Today, Hammersite Ltd. has more than 7,000 registered users worldwide, comprising the largest online community of Jewish and Israeli Art buyers.


Auctions take place throughout the year enabling a quick return to sellers and a guarantee to buyers of ever changing inventory. In addition to previewing property on the internet, buyers are also able to view items on premises at Hammersite Ltd. in Tel Aviv or New York.
