Biography

Since February 2018, we have been running our KUNST & DESIGN AUKTIONSHAUS SCHOPS TUROWSKI in Krefeld with great success. As art sellers and auctioneers, we can look back on many years of experience in the areas of antiques, art and design. Since 2009 we owned the established „Kunst- und Auktionshaus Herr“ in Cologne, which we sold to a large Scandinavian auction house at the end of 2014.

Already during our time in Cologne, we attracted attention on the international art market and auctioned, among other things, exclusive bronzes by Claude Lalanne, rare ceramics by Lucie Rie and Beate Kuhn, glass objects by Pablo Picasso and sought-after designer furniture and objects, some at world record prices.

In Krefeld, we were not only able to build on this success rate, but also to increase it. With our versatile range, our very high sales quotas of over 70 percent and extremely successful individual surcharges, we offer our customers an attractive platform for the intermediation of art, applied art and design on the international market.

Our auction house is centrally located in the city of Krefeld. In the 400 square meter, loft-like and bright rooms of a former textile design studio, auctions take place twice a year, for which a high-quality print catalogue is published. We are represented online on the leading international auction platforms and therefore reach worldwide presence.
