Matsart Auctioneers & Appraisers

Matsart Auctioneers & Appraisers was established when owner Lucian Krief merged two older galleries in 2006. The conjoined auction gallery is located in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and specializes in the sale of Israeli and international art works. Currently, Matsart conducts four major live auctions a year and several smaller live auctions selling an average annual sum of $12,000,000. In 2013, Matsart broke records with the sale of a painting by an Italian-Jewish artist. The painting sold for $8.6 million, shattering the previous record of $1.2 million in 2010.

In addition to fine arts auctioning, Matsart also offers estate sale services. Because of their work ethic, persistence, loyalty, and honesty, Matsart Auctioneers' reputation has grown to an international presence.
