Biography

Max Blackmore has 30 years experience in the auction business and is a qualified Chartered Antiques and Arts Surveyor. Following the closure of the old Bridgfords Alderley Edge saleroom for re-development in 1989, he established his own company in Wilmslow, holding regular auctions at the local rugby club. The auctions proved very popular and successful.

Maxwells have now taken the opportunity of acquiring their own permanent saleroom in Levens Road, Hazel Grove which will provide a more efficient service to both vendors and buyers alike.

Maxwells are a small local family firm and are able to tailor their service to meet their clients’ requirements. They are helped by an excellent team of friendly staff.
