As Pettmans is a long established company, established it 1882, it has witnessed many changes in the last century. From its original activities of delivering coal by horse drawn cart in winter and converted to bathing machines on Margate sands in the summer, through the era of steam engines for road use, to the birth of petrol lorries and now the modern diesel removal vehicles.

It has been very satisfying to see a renewed confidence return to the area and hopefully this current growth will continue.
Pettmans core business has for many years been removals and storage together with a monthly furntiure and antiques auction.

Pettmans offer a fully insured service starting with a free on-site survery by our representative, followed by a written estimate for removal, weekly storage charges if required and packing charges for china, glassware, books and personal items, all at extremely competitive rates.

Our removals are carried out by fully insured and trained operataives, used to dealing with the public at a particularly stressful time in their lives.

Pettmans also carries out shipping goods abroad as full containers or small part loads to every part of the globe, whether it is a full household including the family car to Trinidad or a few inherited items in a tea chest to Tasmania, at standard shipping rates including insurance.
