Piasa

Invaluable Seller since 2003

In the heart of Paris, in the prestigious rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, PIASA, a French auction house, showcases a unique identity through its cutting-edge selections in art and design. Bolstered by regular collaborations with great interior designers, its artistic line is its signature. Combining elegance and authenticity, PIASA reinvents traditions by associating creativity and modernity.

PIASA was created in October 1996 in the historical district of the rue Drouot in Paris. In 2008, Artemis, owner of PIASA since 2001, sold 60% of its capital to a group of private investors within the Financière Piasa company, which will go on to acquire the totality of the capital in 2011. About thirty people make up the PIASA team in Paris, along with representatives in France and abroad. PIASA’s reputation is built on its rigor, care, and know-how.

In 2014, PIASA took the decision to leave the Richelieu-Drouot district to move to the ‘Gold Triangle’ of the right bank. It is in an 18th century mansion, Pierre Cardin’s first store, that PIASA’s spirit develops today. This prestigious location groups in one space the auction house and the exhibition spaces. Involved in the emergence of new talents, PIASA dedicates its ‘Cube’ gallery to the promotion of young creation.

Echoing the decorators of the early 20th century, PIASA defends above all a certain way of life. The scenography of the sales and the objects displayed is the opportunity for great names of interior architecture and design to conduct exercises in style both brilliant and ephemeral. These inspiring moments are the opportunity for collectors to discover medieval and renaissance works, ancient paintings and drawings, books and manuscripts, Asian arts, modern and contemporary art, 20th century design, jewelry, fine furniture and objects, in an intimate setting. This passion for innovative atmospheres and luxurious interiors is particularly celebrated during the design sales that regularly punctuate the calendar.
