We can visit mornings, daytime or evenings. 9am-9pm.Monday-Friday. Our auction room is open both Saturdays and Sundays.
Valuations - We offer valuations on any item or collection including, jewellery, coins, medals, watches, antiques, collectables, silver, artwork, furniture and much more. In certain cases we use experts throughout the Uk to ensure we get the latest and most accurate information and value. We conduct specialist auctions throughout the year ensuring the maximum potential for your items and we hold general auctions every month. Our sale room is full of dealers, collectors, investors and general public. We list all imaging and items on our website. With bidding in the room, telephone, email, sealed commission bids and live national and international worldwide online bidding in our specialist auctions. From London - New York - Sydney we ensure your items get noticed. Our specialist auctions use the invaluable.com.
Reserves - Gold, Jewellery, Quality Silver, Antiques and rare items sometimes have a reserve in place at auction. A reserve is the minimum acceptable bid on any particular item before we will drop the hammer thus legally completing the sale. It is up to the client to request a reserve on an item and if reasonable and realistic we will put it in place and make it binding. If a reserve is agreed this will be clear on your receipt at the time of collection or drop off. Please ensure that if you want a reserve placed on your item(s), tell the auctioneer and ensure you have this in writing. In some cases we may insist on a reserve to protect you our client and also our reputation. Many items go to auction without a reserve in place, this is normal practice and items usually find their price in the room on the day. Remember though that an auction is exactly that, an auction. We do not take any responsibility or liability for loss or damages for any item or collection that does not have a reserve in place. Items with no reserve will take their course on the day. If in doubt simply ask. We are here to help and do our best for your items.
Stage 2 - We now have your items! You will be pleased to know that your items are fully insured from the time of collection until they are sold. All items are insured both in transit and in our secure auction room. Now we have your items they are researched, imaged, listed and then allocated a lot number ready for auction. We will display them as early as possible including internet listing to ensure we get bids/interest early. Remember we are open 7 days a week, the earlier your item is here the earlier we get bids before auction.
Stage 3 - Auction Day! So it's time for the big day, great atmosphere in the room and the auctioneer is ready. You may wish to attend on the day of sale and you are very welcome to do so. Bring a guest if you like, although we take our business very seriously, auctions can be a fun day out. Once your items have sold we will then await payment and this is usually within 3 working days however, payments via cheque take longer to clear and bank. Providing we have accepted all payments for your items then we aim to pay you our client within 21 working days of sale often sooner (Subject to all items sold) or non sale collected. We can pay via cheque, bacs bank transfer or cash by special request (At the auction room only). A full inventory of your items and achievements will be provided with your payment.
