For more than 30 years, PosterConnection has specialized in the sale of original posters. In 1984, PosterConnection became one of the first auction houses to specialize in poster only auctions. PosterConnection was founded in Germany, and in 1995, expanded to the San Francisco Bay Area. Since its founding, this poster auction house has published more than 100 catalogs internationally, and hosts four annual sales in the San Francisco area.

PosterConnection has been trusted with the sale of notable posters for decades. Important sales include a 1914 "Hexen-Sabbat" lithograph by Richard Knecht as well as a complete set of Norman Rockwell's "The Four Freedoms."

PosterConnection deals exclusively in original vintage posters and poster reference books. Posters in the auctions may be from as early as the 1850s, but also include contemporary classics from the 1990s. This international collection spans all genres of posters, but the auction house also offers specialized catalogs in areas including film, military and politics, photography, rock and roll, books, and ephemera.

Services & Staff

Bidders worldwide participate in PosterConnection's original vintage poster auctions. Bids are accepted in person, by absentee, and live online with Invaluable.com. Telephone bidding is available selectively on a first come, first served basis. Auction previews are available on the morning of the auction day, and catalogs are available online.

Poster consignments are accepted year round. PosterConnection offers evaluations for single items as well as varied collections both in personal and by email. Preliminary evaluations are available immediately.
