Biography

Purcell Auctioneers have been conducting regular Auction Sales for over 50 years in the Birr area. In 1970, Michael Purcell created an auctioneering and estate agency business from scratch, which has since grown in size and reputation and developed into the Purcell Auctions & Estate Agents Ltd. company that we have today. Now, with Conor Purcell MIPAV and MMCEPI wielding the gavel, the auctions are held with live internet bidding attracting customers from all over the world.

We hold monthly sales with a strong emphasis on Specialist Rare & Antiquarian Book Sales along with Collectible Sales of Original Pub Advertising, Railwayana, Vintage Toys and Fishing Paraphernalia.

We normally accept entries for sale right throughout the year however we reserve to right to examine all items before being accepted.

We are also very interested in conducting on site auctions at your own premises for house contents or business clearance purposes.
