SOUTHERN INDEPENDENT AUCTIONS LTD Auctioneers, Valuers and Certificated Bailiffs
Southern Independent Auctions Ltd was formed in 1999. As the name suggests it's main occupation is to auction goods both from liquidations and from private companies and individuals with excess stock. Our aim is to achieve a broad spectrum of merchandise that will encourage traders and the general public alike to attend our sales.
Auction sales are held on a regular monthly basis and goods are sorted and lotted by in-house porters and then displayed to the best possible advantage. Viewing is held two days prior to each sale with one viewing day held over the weekend. Sales are advertised in local papers which generates a good response and specialist advertising can be arranged at the expense of the vendor.
Payments from purchasers are collected after the auction and the following day which allows payments to vendors to be made within 10 days from the date of the auction. In the case of goods seized by the bailiffs VAT is accounted direct to HM Customs & Excise, Southend.
Regular auctions of antiques, collectables and general furniture and effects are also held.
ON-SITE AUCTION: In some cases, where possible, it can be a considerable advantage to offer for sale the goods 'in-situ' Certain assets are best viewed on site and in particular where there would be extensive removal costs, the goods can be sold on the condition that 'buyer dismantles' It is also possible, in these cases, to take advantage of other comparable companies interest in a particular business.
TENDER: Sale by tender is an excellent method of sale in certain circumstances. In the case of very specialized items this can allow potential purchasers the time to research into values and can realize amounts in excess of all expectations.
IN ALL CASES OUR EXPERIENCED SALES TEAM WILL WORK WITH THE CLIENT IN DECIDING THE BEST METHOD OF DISPOSAL TO ACHIEVE THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE REALISATIONS.
We have full professional indemnity cover and motor traders fully comprehensive insurance cover. Our office and warehouse is alarmed and is subject to full blanket insurance cover. We have our own storage facilities and our pound facilities are extensive, secure and monitored by CCTV.
We are corporate members of the Enforcement Services Association (ESA) and our directors are both Fellows of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers.
