UPAINT

Having its epicenter in Monte-Carlo, where it was born in 2017 and raised for six years, UPAINT, formerly known as UPAW - Urban Painting Around the World - brings urban painters form around the world to paint ephemeral walls from scratch throughout a number of days. Our artists are invited to showcase their talents and craft unique art pieces in a select public venue open to the general public. We create a unique opportunity for art collectors to purchase their pieces at the live auction on the last day of the event, all for an honorable reason. In fact, our festival supports honorable causes, as the net proceeds of the auction go to finance projects of the Fondation Prince Albert II, hoping to provide support in their mission to grant us a future hand-in-hand with a healthy environment.

In addition to helping the environmental cause, UPAINT's mission at heart is to promote Street Art, often the most misunderstood form of art, and bring it to its rightful place: in the prestigious elite of art movements. Through the years, we brought names of the caliber of Futura, Daze, John "Crash" Matos, El Pez or Buff Monster, along with many other explosive talents like Mr. OneTeas, Misterpiro, Bond Truluv or L'Atlas to name just a few. This setting makes it rewarding to have so many street artists working together in the same spot for so many days – it allows for unique collaborations, and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for collectors.

UPAINT transcends all traditional expectations by paradoxically putting master Urban Painters in the limelight, in one of the most exclusive and upscale places on earth, Monaco. UPAINT brings back an element of the original gem-sessions as it lives for the artists' talent and craves to infect the public with their passion for this art. It gives the chance to collectors and passers-by to meet artists and to support the community however they choose to: by investing in unique art pieces, buying limited editions, meeting new people, discovering new passions, or simply living a memorable experience.
