Weiss Auctions is known for selling the estates of collectors, including The Ken Schultz Collection of Ocean Liner and Worlds Fair Material, the Arthur Meyers baseball collection, the Ed Sullivan collection, and the F.H. Griffith Toy collection. Estate of Cartoonists Eldon Dedini, Don Trachte & Comic Artist Great Joe Kubert. Train collections including the Jan Kalas Collection, Joe Cutrofello Collection and coming in 2019 The Neil Padron Collection. Notables sales include the $1.2 million sale of the Scott #120b postage stamp from the Newport Stamp collection, the highest price ever paid for a U.S. postage stamp. Another record sale price held by the auction house is the $500,000 sale of a 19th century punch cigar store figure. In 2008 Weiss Auctions sold a T-206 Honus Wagner for $800,000. Our $100,000+ Sale of the Snyder Titanic collection was also a record setter at the time. We are currently handling in a series of sales part of the fabulous Otto Penzler Detective and Mystery Fiction Book Inventory.
