WHYTE'S are Ireland ’s premier specialist art and collectibles auction house. In six to eight carefully planned sales a year Whyte’s offer an unrivaled range of Irish art and collectibles. The entries in their sales are mainly from private collectors and estates, and many have not been seen in public for many years. Whyte’s city centre offices and galleries are located in the last intact terrace of Georgian shopfronts in Dublin, completed in 1831.
Whyte’s art sales are held at the Royal Dublin Society in the exclusive south Dublin suburb of Ballsbridge. This superbly appointed venue comfortably accommodates the large attendance these sales attract and the ample and secure free car parking is much appreciated by collectors and dealers. Whyte’s other sales – including their famous History, Literature and Collectibles and Rock Pop and Movies Memorabilia auctions - take place in Molesworth Street with viewing in their galleries and the auctions across the street at the historic Freemasons Hall.
Services & Staff
The staff at Whyte's bring decades of experience and talent to the business. Nearly a dozen well-educated experts are employed to ensure the highest standards of business practice are maintained at the auction house. Their backgrounds include extensive education, prior auction experience, business knowledge, and more.
Whyte’s have an unequalled reputation for integrity and discretion acquired over more than two centuries of family business in Dublin. Coupled with our enthusiastic adoption of modern technology we can offer all the advantages and civility of a "bricks and mortar" auction house with the convenience of electronic communications.
All Whyte’s sales are broadcast live, both audio and video, on Invaluable.com where you can watch and listen to the auction, leave bids or bid while the auction is taking place, from anywhere in the world. You can also view and bid from an iPhone.
