Description: 1) H. ASTON MODEL 1842 ARMY. Cal. 54. NSN. Mfg. 1852 as dated on side plate & top tang. Contract produced by 3 makers 1846-1855. Aston produced 42,000 units of which about 6,000 had the scarcer late lock plate marking of "U.S. / H.ASTON & CO.". Bbl. marked "MS / US / SM / P" w/ sm. "JH" (James Harris) proof on flat side at rear. Left side of stock has 2 oval cartouches appearing "WAT" & "WN"; William Anderson Thornton & Walther North. Sm. "H" on brass back strap at bbl. tang junction. Sm. "N" on brass tang forward of trigger guard. Bbl. 8 1/2" w/ brazed brass front sight. Swivel style ramrod assembly. Lock plate has beveled edges & marked at rear "MIDDtn / CONN / 1852". Original finish was all bright metal parts & blued trigger. Trigger guard attached by 2 spanner nuts rather than riveted as on earlier models. CONDITION: patina trigger. Good appearing unpolished brass w/ occasional marks; mostly on butt & trigger guard. Slight gap at rear of trigger guard fastening. Attachment screws all very good appearing. Bbl. & ramrod assembly cleaned even pitting. Hammer w/ less pitting as cleaned w/ more gray appearance. Numerous light handling marks on stock w/ more sizable mark on left near bottom & on bottom aligned w/ end of lock plate. Sm. rectangular chip behind brass band exposing ramrod. Underside of hammer w/ leather insert having filled end of nipple appearing in good condition. Very good appearing bore w/ appearance of " 1 " stamped in breech face. Proper functioning hammer. (01-14243/NW). 2) BELGIAN SXS. Cal. 10mm. NSN. Liege proofed w/ 2 7/8" bbls. Uncheckered bag shaped walnut grip w/ only slightly rounded corners. Tall hammer spurs & triggers w/out guard, yet 2 holes fore & aft of triggers possibly for prior guard. Face of each bbl. at bottom muzzle has 4 notches plus left edge of each trigger back w/ 3 notches. CONDITION: proper functioning w/ brown patina appearance & good nipples. Replacement top tang screw. Minor handling marks & thinning of finish on grip. Poor bores. (01-14244/NW). 3) BELGIAN SCREW BBL. FOLDING TRIGGER. Cal. 12mm. NSN. Sm. boot pistol w/ rosewood saw handle style grip having German silver cap of clam shell design for caps. Damascus patterned screw mounted bbl. No bbl. sight, but raised portion of frame w/ V notch at rear. Light engraving on action, but not on bbl. or hammer. CONDITION: cleaned patina on action. Brown patina on bbl. w/ poor bore. Grip has sm. saw like cut at mid point of left side w/ remainder very good. Improper hammer / trigger functioning; cocking hammer releases trigger, but does not usually stay cocked unless trigger is manipulated slightly forward while hammer is retracted, yet correctly releases. (01-14245/NW). ALL ANTIQUE. $600-1000.

Payments: 8. PAYMENT: All items are to be paid for in American Funds the day of the sale. We accept Cash, pre-approved checks, Visa, MC, American Express, Discover & wire transfers. All items must be paid for in full before being removed from our facility. All fees associated with the cost of a wire transfer or bank check are those of the purchaser.
* Must have valid drivers license when paying by charge cards & checks.
* Checks are to be pre-approved by auctioneer prior to the auction (at least 2 business days before auction, NOT the day of the auction). A letter of reference from your bank is recommended to those who have never done business with us before. The auctioneer reserves the right to hold merchandise purchased by checks that have not been pre-approved, until we can see that the check has cleared the bank. It is our policy to hold merchandise on all first time buyers until check has cleared the bank. Our bank has recommended 10 business days. This enables the check to clear the bank & if it does not, then it gives them the time to notify us via mail.
* There will be a $25 fee charged for all returned checks.
* Third party checks are not accepted.
Note: Delay in payment, means delay in shipment to you. Delay in shipment to you could mean you lose all possibility of a return, so please make a prompt payment. Speediest form of payment is Credit Cards or Bank Checks. Personal or Business checks from first time buyers will hold the shipment up for 10 business days until checks have cleared the bank. This could jeopardize the warranties of the descriptions if the shipment exceeds 18 business days.
9. OUT OF COUNTRY BUYERS.
9A. Payment must be in the form of either Wire transfers or Checks drawn on United States Banks. Credit cards are only accepted for the shipping process, NOT for payment. All fees associated with the use of a wire transfer is the responsibility of the purchaser. This includes the $25 fee that Poulin Antiques & Auctions, Inc. is charged by their bank for the international wire transfer.
9B. The payment by wire transfer or bank check qualifies the purchaser for a 2.5% deduction on their Buyers Premium.
