Cornelis I de Baellieur (1607-1671), mid 17th century, the moulded lid opening to reveal a painted interior depicting Moses, above two geometrically panelled doors, opening to reveal a painting of Susanna and the elders, the architectonic interior with a central door flanked by pillars enclosing a mirrored recess with eight small drawers and a further drawer similarly painted, with a further long drawer in the frieze, with a handle on each side, on a later stand with moulded tapering legs and paw feet, Whole: 137 cm high, 84 cm wide, 43 cm deep; 4 ft 6 in, 2 ft 9 in, 1 ft 5 in; Cabinet: 66 cm high, 81 cm wide, 38 cm deep; 2 ft 2 in, 2 ft 8 in, 1 ft 3 in.
