A large early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver fruit bowl, Calcutta, Bhowanipore circa 1910 by Dass and Dutt
Raj period. Of shallow circular form with a wavy rim all upon a pedestal domed foot. The bowl section with embossed decoration in village pattern, depicting cattle, craftsmen working outside a stall, oxen pulling a wagon, and an interior scene with musicians. All above a border of large, stylised acanthus leaves, repeated to the foot. Stamped underneath DASS & DUTT BHOWANIPORE CALCUTTA.
