A PAIR OF MONUMENTAL ORMOLU-MOUNTED SEVRES (THIRD REPUBLIC) CRYSTALLINE VASES ('VASE OEUF') DATED APRIL 1896, EACH INCISED WITH AN IL MONOGRAM 96 4 PN FOR PATE NOUVELLE In the Art Nouveau taste, each of baluster form with flaring mouth and foot, glazed allover with pooling crystalline effect in shades of lusturous mettallic-green, iron-red and ochre, flanked by upright foliate scroll handles, the splayed terminal set with a female nude holding a billowing drape beside a pedestal and flowering branches 29 3/8 in.
