Dimensions: approximately 243 by 168cm; 7ft.12in., 5ft. 6in.
Condition Report: Overall measurements: 165cm across the top, 168cm across the bottom, 243cm along the left side, 233cm along the right side. This rug has gentle muted colouring. Flexible handle. Soft lustrous wool, pile at highest 3mm down to knotheads with minor areas down to foundation visible in horizontal lines due to old folds. There are some scattered areas of re-piling, for example centre right of left hand border, visible as lighter shade of ivory, and other small areas in differing colours throughout. Some minor oxidisation to browns within the field and border. Top end with madder flatweave and original soumac knotting, lower end with flatweave warp fringing , not overlocked, some losses and cobbled repairs in sections. The lower end is of irregular shape, as visible from the photograph. This is a beautifully drawn vibrant rug and a good example of its type, reasonably priced.
