A rare late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver dressing table box, Madras circa 1890
Raj period. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid. The body with embossed decoration in animal pattern, with insects as well as a flat fish, scorpions, crabs, a chameleon, beetles, frogs and a lizard, all within circular cartouches edged with borders.
Length – 16.7 cm / 6.6 inches
Weight – 200 grams / 6.43 ozt
