Under the direction of architect Theodorus Wijdeveld, Wendingen presented the newest ideas and most creative practitioners in all of the arts, including architecture, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, glass and theatrical design. In its fourteen years history, Wendingen featured the work of such diverse artists and architects as Eileen GRAY, Josef HOFFMANN, Michel de KLERK, Gustav KLIMT, El LISSITZKY, Erich MENDELSOHN and Jan TOOROP. From 1925-26, it published a series of seven issues of unparalleled beauty devoted to the work of Frank LLOYD WRIGHT. In the first years only 650 copies have been printed and bound by hand! A treasure trove.
