Description: Natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark, bent Supplejack vine and bush string
Dimensions: 129.5 by 63 cm
Medium: Natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark, bent Supplejack vine and bush string
Condition Report: Natural earth pigments on eucalyptus bark, bent Supplejack vine and bush string, framed between two layers of museum plexi with a wooden surround. Please note there are multiple areas of pigment loss throughout the painted surface typical of this artist’s bark paintings. The remaining pigment looks stable with only very small areas where the pigment is lifting, these areas could benefit from consolidation if it was considered they were lifting further. There are a number of cracks throughout the bark that appear to be contemporary with the creation of the work. The bark is attached to Perspex at the back with blocks of wood and silicon. Please note this work has not been examined under UV light. There does not appear to be any visible evidence of repair or restoration.
